  Well, though my posting restriction has been lifted, I can't start topics it seems, so I'll have to recycle. :-)

  I've not followed anything jw in some time, but I've perused the last few pages, and I see a lot about new light. What has changed in the last few years? Just a synopisis is fine if anyone feels like it.

  so as not to hijack another thread i decided that a thread on culture could be useful.

  i'd like to provide a safe place for people to talk about cultural norms or abnormals.

  you don't want to learn that you've done or said the wrong thing by gettin' a fist in the face, know what i'm saying?.

  That's all right, you don't have to like what I said. But I would like to know are you upset that I feel blacks can say it, or that I don't want you to say it?

  It's a blatant double standard. We shouldn't do it but it's ok if we do--you shouldn't do it not matter what. As I said, that's bull crap and will earn you no respect from me.
